The material

Walls that breathe.

LimePaint is a traditional, handcrafted lime paint — and no two walls are ever the same. It is the personal touch of the craftsman, the way the lime is laid on, that decides the final result: an authenticity that lives and breathes with the building.

Matt, mineral and breathable, its colour shifts with the substrate and the way it is worked — darkening under a vigorous brush, or polished to a soft ‘stucco’ sheen. Those very nuances are what make LimePaint what it is.

It is made from locally sourced lime, coloured with Stoopen & Meeûs pigments and applied by hand. Because the finish depends on the craftsman, the substrate and the light, we always make a sample first — and every colour chart is a guide, not a guarantee.

Forty-two lime shades.

Coloured on site with mineral pigments — soft, breathable, matt tones. Absorbency shifts each shade, so the chart is a guide, not a guarantee.

The system

How it goes on.

Composition
A traditional, mineral lime paint — breathable, vapour-permeable and highly eco-friendly, made from locally sourced lime. It is designed to give interiors a natural, living finish rather than a sealed film.
Equipment
LimePaint powder (4 kg or 16 kg bags) and Stoopen & Meeûs powder pigments, with StucPrimer and, where wanted, a suitable topcoat (Uniwall 1KPU varnish or Uniwall Wax). Tools: a lime block-brush for a classic finish, or a stainless-steel or Venetian trowel for a KalkStucco stucco look.
Protection
LimePaint is not a film-forming paint; the system is built with a suitable primer and applied in the steps set out in the technical data sheet. Representative tests are always carried out first.
Where it's used
For interior walls, applied by brush or trowel to sound mineral substrates, plasterboard and stable panels such as MDF, or well-adhered, alkali-resistant old paint — always prepared with StucPrimer. High-quality workmanship is essential to the result.
