What an epoxy floor is

An epoxy floor is a resin system — an epoxy base, usually sealed with a polyaspartic top — installed over your prepared concrete slab. It bonds into the concrete rather than sitting on top, sealing out water, oil and stains and turning a dusty slab into a bright, seamless surface that stands up to foot traffic, rolling loads and daily cleaning.

Performance Floors

A seamless floor built to work.

The Benefits

  • Seamless, chemical-resistant surface that wipes clean
  • Hard-wearing under foot traffic, rolling loads and spills
  • Bonded into the slab — no peeling like paint-on kits
  • Flake, solid and metallic finishes to choose from
  • Bright, low-maintenance floor with no grout lines
  • Installed by trained SolidRock crews

Where It Works

  • Sound concrete slabs in homes and light commercial spaces
  • Floors that see foot traffic, rolling loads and spills
  • Owners wanting a seamless, easy-clean sealed surface
  • Slabs we can properly prepare and moisture-test
  • New builds and existing floors alike

Where It Doesn't

  • Slabs with active moisture we cannot correct
  • Badly spalled or structurally failing concrete
  • Surfaces that cannot be mechanically prepared

Our Process

  1. Free estimate

We measure the space, check the slab's condition and moisture, and quote the system.

  2. Diamond grinding

The concrete is mechanically profiled so the resin bonds into it, not onto it.

  3. Base & finish

The epoxy base goes down, then colour flake, a solid tone or a metallic finish is built into it.

  4. Polyaspartic top

A UV-stable polyaspartic seals it into a seamless, hard-wearing surface ready for use the next day.

Installing in South Florida

Miami runs hot and humid, and slabs on grade — garages, basements and ground floors alike — can push moisture up from below. We moisture-test every floor and build the system for the heat and damp, so the coating bonds and holds instead of blistering.

Cost

$5$12

per sq ft

Epoxy floors are priced by the area's size, the slab's condition and the system and finish chosen — most fall within the range shown. Every quote follows a site visit and a moisture test.
