What Microcement Is

Microcement — also called microtopping — is a fine cement-based coating troweled over almost any sound substrate, from existing tile to screed to drywall, for a seamless modern surface with no grout lines. At roughly 2–3 mm it adds little height, yet it is hard-wearing and, sealed as a system, water-resistant enough for kitchens and bathrooms.

Our Process

  1. Consultation & sample

We visit the space, agree the colour and texture, and make a hand-applied sample in your light.

  2. Substrate preparation

The existing surface is made sound and keyed — microcement bonds over tile, screed and drywall.

  3. Layered application

Fine coats are troweled on by hand, building the seamless surface a few millimetres thick.

  4. Seal & protect

The surface is sealed as a system for water resistance and everyday wear.

Installing in South Florida

Microcement suits South Florida living — sealed, it stands up to humidity and daily wear. Our team preps the substrate and schedules curing around the local climate so the surface sets hard and even.

Cost

$18$32

per sq ft

Microcement is priced by the surface, its substrate and the layer system — most projects fall within the range shown. Every quote follows a site visit and an approved sample.
